JOB OPPORTUNITIESOFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL POSTING #23-08 POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Claims Analyst PERMANENT ASSIGNMENT: Crime Victim Services Division LOCATION: Chicago SALARY RANGE: $41,004 – $51,948 annually SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Processes claims by reviewing filings, providing and gathering information, and preparing reports. Obtains information by contacting witnesses, attorneys, claimants, and others; developing questions; reviewing files and documents; and conducting research. Serves as resource in areas of general and/or specialized knowledge; attending meetings; assisting in preparation of public education materials. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Must keep information confidential. Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and collaborative manner. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Legal Studies, Public Administration or related courses preferred and one year of professional work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
