ATTORNEY GENERAL ENCOURAGES CONSUMERS TO PARTICIPATE IN
NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG “TAKE BACK” DAY
Six Regional Offices Will Serve as Collection Points
Springfield — Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced today that six of her office locations throughout Illinois will serve as collection sites for this Saturday’s National Prescription Drug “Take-Back” Day.
Illinois residents are encouraged to bring in their unwanted or expired prescription drugs, to the collection sites for safe disposal. Madigan’s office will join other state attorneys general and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in this important part of The Medicine Abuse Project, a national program to raise awareness of prescription drug abuse.
Madigan’s office “Take-Back” Day locations are:
- Chicago – West Regional Office – 306 N. Pulaski Rd.
- Chicago – South Regional Office – 7906 S. Cottage Grove Ave.
- Springfield – 500 S. Second St.
- Belleville – Metro East Regional Office – 201 West Pointe Dr.
- Carbondale – 601 S. University
- Quincy – West Central Illinois Regional Office – 628 Maine St.
Collection hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
