Attorney General Lisa Madigan and the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr., right, join Chicago resident Mildred Howell in her South Chicago home to urge homeowners in danger of losing their homes to "Make the Call" to their mortgage company or Madigan's new Homeowners' Referral Helpline at 1-866-544-7151 for help. Howell was recently refinanced into a subprime loan and was served a foreclosure summons and reached out to Madigan's office and the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition for help. For more information, click here

Attorney General Lisa Madigan joins Ken Johnson, mayor of the City of Wood Dale and president of the board of directors of the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference (DMMC), during their February meeting in Lombard. Mayor Johnson presented Madigan with the 2007 "Governmental Leader Award" for her office's efforts on the Cable and Video Competition Act and work on behalf of local municipalities.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan joins area legislators and members of the Asian-American community during the Chinese Mutual Aid Association's (CMAA) Chinese New Year Celebration in Chicago. Later, Madigan joined San O, center, and Peter Porr, executive director of the South-East Asia Center (SEAC), during their Lunar New Year Luncheon in Chicago. 2008 is the known as the "Year of the Rat", year 4705.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan talks to 8th grader Mercedes Collins during a tour of the Longwood Campus of the Chicago International Charter Schools (CICS). Madigan was joined by Robert Lang, principal, right, and Craig Henderson, board president of CICS. Later, Madigan visited with high school students, parents and faculty. Opened in 1997, the Longwood Campus serves students in grades K-12 from throughout Chicago’s South Side.
