DIRECTOR OF INVESTIGATIONS FOR THE OFFICE OF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL Patricia A. McConnell Patricia A. McConnell came to work for the Office of Inspector General for the Attorney General after serving twenty-seven years as a law enforcement officer with the Winnetka Police Department. She participated in a wide variety of assignments with the Department, including Commander of the Criminal Investigations Unit; Hostage Negotiator with the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System, a multi-jurisdictional SWAT team; and a Supervisor with the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force, investigating homicides in thirteen member communities. Patricia is a graduate of Northwestern University Traffic Institute's School of Staff and Command (1987) and the Executive Management Program (1998). She received Congressional recognition in May of 1988 for her role in investigating the Hubbard Woods School shootings and supervising the twenty-six member task force investigating the shootings.
