Position Classification: Computer Programmer

Permanent Assignment: Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration

Location: Springfield Office

Salary: $37,224 - $59,616

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Review of user requirements, development, enhancements, documentation, and maintenance to programs in accordance with established office standards and procedures utilizing Microsoft Access. Knowledge of Business Objects and/or Crystal Reports would be a plus. Reports on project progress, problems, and suggested changes. Prepares reference materials for users by writing and maintaining user documentation and/or instructing entry level operators of assistance in the details of software applications. Position requires excellent communications and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both management and general staff in team oriented environment. Reports to management on project assessment, development progress, problems, suggest changes, and completions status. Performs related duties within the scope defined.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or completion of an approved technical programmer program and one year of direct computer programming experience. Advance education and training in computer science or an equivalent discipline may be substituted for experience. Attendance is an essential function of this position. Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public required.

Hours of Work: 8:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
